Creating dynamic input folder path

Hi,

I have a business requirement to fetch the input files from dynamic path which changes on a daily basis.

eg: today's file would be from c:\Desktop\2019\Jan\2019-jan-02\file1.xlsx and

tomorrow's file would be in c:\Desktop\2019\Jan\2019-jan-02\file1.xlsx

The path after c:\Desktop\ should be dynamically populated in alteryx Input path.

How can I accomplish this.

Hi, 

to do so, you can use formulas and then either use a dynamic input. I did a sample workflow, but you need to fill a template file (which could be in another directory and must not move during the year).

The Dynamic Input tool is the way to go.

You can use a formula tool to produce the full path to file and then feed this into Dynamic Input.
