Tiles problem

I know that alteryx have this tiles function but I would like to ask how does it apply on my use case

I attached the file with expected output in book1.xlsx

It was basically referring to the "Amount" and "Name" column

when the "amount" is null, the expected output will be 1, when "amount" is !null, then it will start to count according to "Name"

and when the name change, the cycle starts again.

How do I apply tiles in the following file?

Tile method Unique Value.

Unique Column: Name , Amount

Group by: Name

Edit: Sorry this does not work according to your use case, as both null and the first value will get a value of 1... trying to fix it, but I must be missing something 🙄

Added a solution. Bit ugly so I am open to better solutions 😅.

If you want to start counting from 2 (and not 1) on the first non-null value then this should work..
