Show error message if directory is empty analytic app

Hi all,

I want to show an error message if the directory chosen by the user using the analytical app is empty and prompt the user to chose another directory.

Hi @Sumaya52 ,

Interface Designer has a field "No Output Files Message".

So if the selected folder is empty, the message set in field is shown as below.

@Yoshiro_Fujimori Thank you for your reply. What about if I wanted the user to choose files with specific name format and shows an error if other files were chosen. Can I do that?

Hi @Sumaya52 ,

I understand your first question is how to trigger a warning if the selected folder is empty.

So the solution would use Folder Browse tool.

Your second question is how to let the user select the right file type.

So the second question would use File Browse tool.

In File Browse tool, you can configure "Arbitrary File Specification" to limit what file types can be browsed to.

Below is the configuration in the Example workflow of File Browse tool.
