What I'd like to accomplish is publishing multiple tables into the same datasource in tableau online.
I've created the hyper locally first pushing two tables into the hyper with the Tableau Output Tool. Then I opened that hyper up in Tableau, created a relationship between the two tables, and finally published it up to Tableau Online. After that, I created the TDS from that datasource. Now, I'm trying to utilize that TDS file in the Tableau Output tool to overwrite or upsert.
With either the overwrite or upsert, I get errors. On Upsert I get Tableau Output (3) Failed to update datasource 'Test Multiple Tables'.
On overwrite, I get that it couldn't create the tdsx file.
Has anyone successfully done this? What were your steps? I can successfully push a new extract to Tableau Online no problems from designer. Only have issues with utilizing the TDS to do multiple tables in an extract.
