The latest version of Designer (2023.1 as of this post) is still using version 3.8 of Python, and version 1.19 of numpy and 1.1.0 of pandas. These versions are years out of date and it's tedious to develop scripts and libraries targeting this platform.
Are there plans to upgrade Python and some of these packages? Is there a concern about introducing breaking changes? Could a feature be implemented to have the packaged conda install create multiple virtual environments to support legacy 3.8 workflows, as well as an updated 3.11 or 3.12 environment?
