How to rename a tab from input file, how to group multiple line items

Hello,

I have multiple questions. 

Q1. How to rename a tab name from "sheet 1" to "Other's" tab name

 

Q2. Can i group multiple line items into one line

Q3. How can i save my output into my input file in a different tab and location (not in same folder where is my input file). Means i will save my output in a different tab into my input file in a different folder.

Hi @kauser ,

 

  • For Q1, you can use an Input Data tool to import sheet1, then use an Output Data tool to save it under a different sheet name. This won't get rid of sheet1, i.e. there will be two versions of the sheet with different names, but it's the only easy way to do it with Alteryx.
  • For Q2, you have to separate the two rows you want to combine, use a Summarise tool to combine them, then union them together: Screenshot 2023-07-26 093226.pngI've attached the workflow.
  • For Q3, you'll have to copy the file to a new location somehow. You can use the Blob Input and Blob Output tools for this:Screenshot 2023-07-26 093637.png

For Q1,you can try this method to rename the old sheet name with new one:
