How to define query time out in Alteryx input data tool which uses SQL database as source?

I have a use case where I have to abort the SQL query defined in Alteryx input data tool (which uses SQL database as source), when it runs long (to avoid connection blockings). I have created data connection in Alteryx gallery and using it in my workflow. I tried adding Query Timeout attribute in connection string. But it did not work. Any suggestions please ?
