Hi ,
I have this problem.
Data is like this :
Handler | Ageing | Difference amount |
A | 0-30 | 2 |
B | 0-30 | 3 |
A | 60-90 | 4 |
When cross tab is applied :
Cross tab with count on difference amount
0-30 | 60-90 | Column total
A | 1 | 1 | 6 |
B | 1 | 3 |
But expected result :
Cross tab with count on difference amount
0-30 | 60-90 | Column total
A | 1 | 1 | 2 |
B | 1 | 1 |
Any help appreciated
Thanks

I'm afraid I can't help with an answer of what that total column in the cross tab is actually doing, but you can use one of the CReW Macros from @MarqueeCrew Add totals after the cross tab instead to get the result you're looking for. Documentation and download guide can be found here: https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Knowledge-Base/CReW-Macro-Support/ta-p/465740
The Total Column option of the cross tab is summarizing the total SUM for A (6 = 4 + 2) and B (3 = 3 + 0)
I am afraid that the cross tab tool does not have the option that you want, that would count and give the total count.
Why dont you use the cross tab with the option Count(With Nulls) or Count (Without Nulls) and use a formula to sum the quantities after that?
