Hello, I am a new user and am attempting to convert minutes of contractual hours provided into units for the purpose of billable hours. A sample of the data is below. The third column "Billable Hours" is what I would like to achieve. I'll have approximately one dozen conversions needed with the smallest increment being 0.25 and the largest being 4.0. Can anyone assist with this type of formula? Thank you!
Service | Minutes per Month | Billable Hours |
Service 1 | 60 | 1.0 |
Service 2 | 240 | 2.0 |
Service 3 | 90 | 1.5 |

Hi @rmalenda,
I think you need to use this formula:
[Minutes per Month]/60
but not sure why in row 2 you have the value of 4.

in addition to @Emil_Kos 's response - if you always need to bill to the rounded up 1/4 hour then there's a trick to round the result to the nearest 1/4 hour.
- Multiply the minutes by 4
- Find how often 60 mins goes into the new total
- Take the ceiling of this (to round up)
- Divide the answer by 4 to get to rounded up .25 hours
