Can't create System type for OCI connection

I am trying to create a new OCI connection to an Oracle database as we upgrading and changing the environment. When I set the type to system it changes to user when I save the connection. I do have admin rights. 

We use a virtual machine to connect to Alteryx and use the scheduler. 

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?
