Block until done for two macro inputs

hi folks

i have a requirement to prioritise the order in which four inputs are processed into a macro.

currently there are 2X macro input tools, 1X input data tool (file), 1X text input tool (see jpeg)

i need to add a step (a database transaction) prior to all of the 4 streams starting but can't work out how to

i have tried block until done (no input into Macro Input tool ) and a control container (Macro Input tool not allowed in it) with no joy

i bet it is really simple but I can't get my head round it.

does anyone have an idea please?

cheers,

ianjonna

Could you do the database transaction at the next level up (where you use this macro)? You'll have to make some edits so that you can pass the retrieved database info to the macro. It's probably easiest to just create a new input anchor.

thanks @AGilbert , seems logical 🙂

i will give it a try putting it in the calling macro, my only fear is that the data is out of date by the time control is passed on the macro 😟

cheers
