Hi
Just wondering how do i save an Alteryx start up template, so when i start the application up the workflow opens at the same time?
I thought it was here C:\Program Files\Alteryx\Samples\en\Start Here
however my company wont allow us to add files in this location, so wondering is there anothe location i can do this?
Thanks
Adam

Hi @Adam_Mitchell if you have Alteryx Designer 2023.2 or higher you now have the option of saving multiple templates you can select from.

Hi @ JosephSerpis
Sadly we've only recently (this week) upgraded to 2022.3.1.
That aside i wanted to know where these templates can be saved, in order for the Alteryx application to load then when i open the program... the area i believe we're supposed to save them has been restricted via our IT and dont want to have to raise a call every time i may want to make amendment to my template...

If you can get them to install the Non-Admin version of Alteryx you will have access to that start here folder as its located on the Users Local Appdata folder. I do not believe you can change the path within Alteryx.

Since there doesn't seem to be a workaround for the version you're on(same as ours) you can get around it by double clicking on your custom template file. This will launch designer, loading the template. Create a shortcut to the template on your desktop or taskbar.

yeah thats a good idea actually, what you're recommending ( to be clear), is instead of using the shortcut to open the app, just create a shortcut to your template as the trigger to open the Alteryx application?

i've gone one step further with your answer @danilang I've added our template to my local start up folder, so when my laptop opens it fires up my template, opening Alteryx application with my template in view, so thank you for the work around :)
