Adding Thousand seperators

I want to add thousand seperators without changing the datatype of the column to string. I want to kept the datatype of the column to be numeric.

Anyone please help me out to solve this.

if the output is an excel file, you can use the report table and render tools. in the table tool, put decimal places and automatically leave the thousand separators and continue as numeric

Click the highlighted button to see thousand separators in the results pane.

If you're outputting to Tableau / Excel / other BI Tool, I would handle the thousand separator there.

In many other cases, you cannot add the a comma (a non-numerical value) and have the field still remain a string.
