Add new fields to existing sheet

Hello,

Running into errors trying to append data to an existing sheet, is there a way to dynamically add new columns to the below sheet?  I'm trying to track counts and averages over time but there may be new columns and columns may drop off if the team changes. Happy to answer any questions to help get an idea of what I'm trying to do. The column "_Empty was not in the previous runs and ran into errors trying to append. Thanks, Evan

Somebody correct me (@TheOC would know....) but I don't think you can do it that way. I would probably go the route of bringing in the sheet data, append in Alteryx and then write the finished dataset out to Excel (replace the sheet).
