Alteryx designer tools blocked by security app We use “Thycotic” for an internal security tool (multilayer security). And of course Alteryx has tons of libraries and executables installed that are not signed. And not commonly signed. So we have to play whack a mole as people use new tools. Which is a pain. Has anyone run into this and found a solution ?

Hello,

Possible Solution Approach: Whitelist Alteryx Components: Work with your IT or security team to create exceptions or whitelist the specific Alteryx executables and libraries in Thycotic. This can help prevent the security tool from blocking necessary components.

Update Security Policies: Adjust the security policies in Thycotic to better accommodate the types of files and executables used by Alteryx. This may involve configuring rules to allow unsigned or less commonly signed files.

Coordinate with Alteryx Support: Reach out to Alteryx support for guidance on best practices for integrating their software with enterprise security tools. They might provide specific recommendations or updated information about compatibility.

Regularly Update Security Software: Ensure that both Alteryx and Thycotic are kept up-to-date. Sometimes updates can include improvements for better integration or compatibility with other software.

Engage with the User Community: Look for discussions or forums where other users have faced similar issues. Sharing experiences and solutions can often lead to practical advice and effective fixes.

Hope that helps!
