Restore workflow which was deleted from gallery

Hello all,

When We create a new workflow, first we do save as -> publish to gallery.

Going forward we make changes to workflow, save and creates a new version of that workflow on the gallery server.

However its not saving locally the updated workflow.

So when the workflow on the gallery is deleted from UI, is there a way to restore that version of workflow.

Please let me know if additional details needed on my questions.

To avoid creating duplicate workflows on the Alteryx Gallery and take advantage of in-built version control please do the following.

Once you have uploaded the first version of the workflow to the gallery, to reopen that version to make edits. Please go to file>>open workflow>>navigate to your alteryx gallery.

This will give you visibility to all your workflows in your private studio. You can then select that workflow and it will then open in the alteryx designer.

You can make edits, and then simply hit the save icon in the designer. This will then ask you to save the workflow, however the name of the workflow will be greyed out.

You will then see once you hit save it will have updated the version of the workflow in your private studio.

If you click on the version number it will give you the opportunity to go back and forward version and have better control when pushing certain workflows to production, as well as reducing the risk of removing workflows and having duplicates.

The only way to get back a previous workflow version is by using a restore of a previous MongoDB instance.
