Unhandled Exception when starting Designer.

Hi,

I get the following error when opening designer and when I try to select file from the menu.

I only get this on 2019.4. I've uninstalled an reinstalled with no joy (both admin & user versions), I've also installed 2020.1 which does work however I cant use as our server is 19.4.

the error log shows Illegal characters in path - however I'm not sure which path it refers to or where I can make a change to resolve, please could someone advise?

You may want to send an email to support@alteryx.com as well, but one thing that may help is a complete uninstall of Alteryx Designer using the following instructions: https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Knowledge-Base/Complete-Uninstall-of-Alteryx-Desig...

It is possible that your uninstall didn't quite catch all of the files so something still may be hung up in your file system. If that doesn't resolve your issue I would definitely recommend connecting with our support group.
