Split PDF File into multiple PDFs

Hi,

Looking for some help here. I'm trying to split one PDF file into multiple files based on employee ID and save them as separate PDFs. Usually each employee has only one page in the input file, but it could potentially be more than 1, so I'd need Alteryx to read the input file and identify changes on employee ID to know when to create a new file (if an employee has multiple pages, all of them would be placed consecutively).

Any ideas on how to get this accomplished?

Thanks,

Jose M.

Hi,

I am using a version of this flow to remove all but the first page of pdf documents. A 6 page pdf with a file size of 1.3 MB is rendering to a 1 page pdf with a file size of 2.4 MB. If I extract the first page using Adobe, the single page file is only 520 KB.

Is there a way to control or manage the output file size to avoid this significant increase in size?

Thanks in advance!

Mike

I Googled how to split a PDF file into multiple files. Then Google suggested different programs, which I tried. While using these tools, some of them take time to install, while others do not function well and do not give me the functions. Using all of these applications, later on, I downloaded the Pcinfotools PDF Splitter Tool for dividing the PDF based on Google's suggestion, and this application works beautifully without causing any harm to the PDF file's information; it even keeps the attachments intact as I specified. This program also allows me to specify the location of the PDF file on my device, and it is easy to install and virus-free. It can split PDF documents in bulk and has a user-friendly interface, so I used it without difficulty. This software performs smoothly and offers a free trial.
