SharePoint output only writing about half of records coming in

I am at a total loss here.  This SharePoint Output tool that I'm using is only writing 73,149 of the 144,892 records that are coming into the tool.  I'm writing to .xlsx, and overwriting the previous version.  The workflow writes the 73,129 records and then doesn't finalize - it keep running.  The SP output tool shows 100%, but it doesn't have the green box around it.
