Hi community,
Need a bit of advice on a roadblock we are currently facing. We are sending out emails after the execution of our workflows (Workflow Configuration -> Events), we are currently maintaining each recipient in the "TO:" field, but this started to become a time issue as the number of workflows got bigger and adding new recipients require time.
So we decided to create a distribution list and send the emails to the distribution list instead of individual emails (we add or remove recipients from our Exchange Server whenever new people come or go). The problem is that the individuals are not receiving the emails when the email is sent to the distribution list. Anyone knows what the reasoning might be or experienced a similar thing ? Any details would help.
Thank you

In my experience, this isn't an issue with your Email tool configuration, but rather an issue with your SMTP server/credentials/email group settings. Here's a few things I would look into.
- Use your personal email as the "from" address so that your email service will return any error messages to you to help troubleshooting.
- Most email group within professional organizations will not allow "public" senders. This is done to prevent spammers from being able to email distribution lists. The Alteryx service (that sends the email) is likely not recognized by your email service.
- Have a conversation with your IT professionals about approved sender settings.
- If you have admin credentials for your Alteryx service to use, they may need to be set up in your address book to be considered an "approved" "internal" sender.
