Hello,
We recently purchased an additional license that we used to activate Alteryx Designer on a virtual machine that uses local server accounts as the Windows User.
The issue we are having here is the connection between Alteryx and Microsoft SQL server on the virtual machine. When connecting SQL server, we use Windows Authentication at our organization. When on the VM, the connection fails (see below), basically saying the windows account (the server on the VM) does not have access, which is true. The local server account does not have access to our SQL server. We are then trying to connect Alteryx as a different user (me). However, when I run Alteryx as a different user, it asks for a new license.
Any idea why this might be happening or if there’s a way to use the same license? The license is still on the same virtual machine, whether we log in as different user or not.
Alternatively, Is there any way to connect Microsoft SQL server WITHIN Alteryx as a different user?
Open to any suggestions..
