Joining to the next closest date

Hi all! I've looked at some solutions but haven't been able to solve my problem yet.

I am trying to join two data sources - a list of items with a list of exchange rates - to get the exchange rate for each item (start date of the item = date of exchange rate). All is good except there are some items where no exchange rate exists (e.g. Jan 1, 2022, holiday). For the items with no exact match, I would like to use the next available date in the exchange rate list (e.g. Jan 4, 2022).

Is there a way to join to the next available date in a list?

Here is a way to do this. Join by date, what do not match you can use the append tool + filter to catch.
