Hello,
I would like to duplicate specific rows.
I have a list of x and y coordinates:
I am joining this with another sheet:
When I use the Join tool using [Point] field, I cannot join point 6. Since point 1 and 6 have the same x and y coordinates, I would like to duplicate point 1 rows.
I tried to use the Generate Rows tool, but it didn't work.
Does anyone know how to duplicate specific rows?
Thank you,
Kazumi
Solved! Go to Solution.
After you join the data, you get something like:
Line POINT Result X Y
You can then join your data to the 1st table again (this time on X & Y as the keys) and get:
Line POINT Result X Y POINT2
That will give you 2 rows for (1 & 6 having same XY coordinates).
Now you can drop POINT and rename POINT2 and you should have the right results.
Or so I think.....
The other simple way is to filter off the rows that you want to duplicate and then union them back on to the original set.
Thanks Kane.
