Hello,
(Very new to Alteryx here so apologies for the noob question!).
I am struggling to fully understand the concept of cores, especially in relation to Analytic Apps or to Alteryx Designer Interface.
Does an Analytic App consume a core?
If I build a UI for an existing workflow using the Alteryx Designer interface tools, and there is a page for the user to input parameters to be picked up by the workflow, would the display of that input page "consume" a core?
Or basically, what is the list of what consumes a core apart from executing a workflow?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi @cplh is this the detail you are looking for?
How Alteryx uses its memory to run workflows.
Thanks Samantha, that is very helpful.
Is there a way to know specifically if an Analytic App UI consumes memory? The articles says that lots of tools consume memory, but it would be great to have a list, if that exists...
And also, my understanding is that, when we have 4 cores we can run 4 processes in parallel, and anything extra will be queued. Would displaying a UI count as 1 process? (Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the concept of core?)
