Hi All,
I need some help with making certain parts of my data blank.
I have the following dummy data:
ID1 | ID2 | Date | Type1 | Type2 | Name | Amount | Code |
12345 | 54321 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | A | 100 | 1 |
12345 | 54321 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | B | 100 | 2 |
12345 | 54321 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | C | 100 | 3 |
12345 | 54321 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | D | 100 | 4 |
12345 | 54321 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | E | 100 | 5 |
12345 | 54321 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | F | 100 | 6 |
12345 | 54321 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | G | 100 | 7 |
23456 | 65432 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | A | 100 | 1 |
23456 | 65432 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | B | 100 | 2 |
23456 | 65432 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | C | 100 | 3 |
23456 | 65432 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | D | 100 | 4 |
23456 | 65432 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | E | 100 | 5 |
23456 | 65432 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | F | 100 | 6 |
23456 | 65432 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | G | 100 | 7 |
23456 | 65432 | 02/01/2021 | Y | Z | A | 100 | 1 |
23456 | 65432 | 02/01/2021 | Y | Z | B | 100 | 2 |
23456 | 65432 | 02/01/2021 | Y | Z | C | 100 | 3 |
23456 | 65432 | 02/01/2021 | Y | Z | D | 100 | 4 |
23456 | 65432 | 02/01/2021 | Y | Z | E | 100 | 5 |
23456 | 65432 | 02/01/2021 | Y | Z | F | 100 | 6 |
23456 | 65432 | 02/01/2021 | Y | Z | G | 100 | 7 |
I would like to make this into the following output:
ID1 | ID2 | Date | Type1 | Type2 | Name | Amount | Code |
12345 | 54321 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | A | 100 | 1 |
B | 100 | 2 | |||||
C | 100 | 3 | |||||
D | 100 | 4 | |||||
E | 100 | 5 | |||||
F | 100 | 6 | |||||
G | 100 | 7 | |||||
23456 | 65432 | 01/01/2021 | Y | Z | A | 100 | 1 |
B | 100 | 2 | |||||
C | 100 | 3 | |||||
D | 100 | 4 | |||||
E | 100 | 5 | |||||
F | 100 | 6 | |||||
G | 100 | 7 | |||||
23456 | 65432 | 02/01/2021 | Y | Z | A | 100 | 1 |
B | 100 | 2 | |||||
C | 100 | 3 | |||||
D | 100 | 4 | |||||
E | 100 | 5 | |||||
F | 100 | 6 | |||||
G | 100 | 7 |
Please let me know how I can solve this!

Hi @Yeonsujen,
Assuming that ID1, ID2, and Date can be used for a unique grouping identifier, here is how you can do it.
I'm using a tile tool to group your records and create a record id by each group. Then a multi-formula tool to null out anything in the desired fields that doesn't start the group.
Let me know if this works for you.
Cheers!
Phil
@Maskell_Rascal Thank you so much for your solution, it worked perfectly! I have never used the tile tool before but great to know it can help with this kind of thing. Appreciate your help 🙂
