Alteryx Community Team

When Formula 1 started in 1950, teams only had 4 or 5 people overseeing each car’s performance.  Each team member had to be empowered to make decisions. These teams had an easier time with communication and creating a team atmosphere, which helped individuals know that someone had their back.

Today, teams have over 1,000 people dedicated to the cars. This makes it much more difficult to make individuals feel empowered to make decisions and know that their teammates have their back.

Leaders that empower their teams will lead to more  overall team success. This is where Alteryx is helping McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown to empower his team’s decision making . Without Alteryx, team members wouldn’t have the time to analyze results due to the fact that it takes them so long to put together their data, being detrimental to the overall team. There wouldn’t be  enough time for the team to make educated decisions if they wasted their time prepping data or having to build models on their own.

With Alteryx, the team can now take all that time they didn’t have before to make the smarter, more data-driven decisions. This allows the team to be more confident in the decisions being made, adding to the feeling of empowerment. Leaders like Zak recognize this as a very important factor for success, and why McLaren Formula 1 team has chosen to partner with Alteryx.

Don’t believe me? Here is what Zak has to say about it.
