Let's put a wrap on 2020 and leave it in the history books. Here's what could have gone under the radar at the end of the year!

In Case You Missed It

*Community news & announcements.

Santalytics 2020

Our Santalytics season has come to an end, and the new format was a little different than years past. We had some amazing submissions, and the community really went out of their way to be creative and put together some great ideas. We'll be announcing the winners next week, so stay tuned to hear all about it!

Ongoing Conversations

As I pointed out last month, we had some really good conversations going around competitiveness in the community.  This got me thinking and we've started a few conversation starters to have some further conversations around  practice and functionality within the Alteryx Community.  I think these are very worthy conversations to have, and would love to see your participation in these threads.

ACE Convos

Some of our ACEs got together recently and created some really good content around speed and improvements.  There will likely be more of these, but I want to go ahead and highlight some of them because I think they're relevant to everyone!  Big shoutout to @MarqueeCrew @NicoleJohnson and @Hollingsworth on making some magic - be on the lookout for more to come!

Nuts & Bolts

*Alteryx in Practice. Noteworthy Tips & Tricks, blog/KB Articles + other pearls of wisdom.

Who needs a traditional Advent calendar in December when there are data puzzles to solve?

The 2020 Advent of Code challenge stood no chance against the combined forces of ACE @jdunkerley79 and Alteryx! He chronicled tackling all 25 puzzles using “BaseA” Alteryx in a four-post series. Discussions ensued under this label as others took on the challenge. What a great way to add a sprinkle of Alteryx magic to the season!

Want to bring even more magic to your everyday Alteryx use? Don’t have a lot of time? Get “30 Tips in 30 Minutes” in this awesome post and video from ACEs @estherb47 and @Joe_Lipski

In December, we also learned about new ways to pair Alteryx with TravelTime and Dremio from @StephenW and @DavidHa respectively. On the Data Science Blog, we took on uplift modeling (and saw hints that @SusanCS might like bagels), plus we used topic modeling to learn about crazy holiday injuries. The data science future looks bright, as shown by this review of what to watch in 2021.

Finally, a look back to the past, as we thanked Alteryx co-founder @dstoecker for his vision and leadership with a post and video: an emotional journey indeed!
