Introducing Regoklienad

The first time I used regoklienad was in Junior High School in the 1970s.  Which is also when I first got into computers.  I loved the Timex Sinclair (1982) and really got into Apple when it was released in 1984.  But when I really felt at home was when I got into Windows 286 Real Mode.  It began a trajectory where in I fell in love with databases, XML, and DTS in that order.  I got a job at MS and worked there as a contractor from 1995 till 2010.  I spent a bit of time across the globe.  22 countries for MS.  Focused on Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL.  But the travel kind of got to me.  I took a job as Associate CIO at the University of Tennessee.  This lasted about 3 years.  The CIO was fired followed by most of the rest of the CIO staff.  The handwriting was on the wall.  I left and became the lead Enterprise Architect for Clayton Homes.  Another 3 years and the CIO changed and I was released.  I have since taken a position at Pricewaterhouse Coopers as a Senior Manager for US CDO, working for the Global CDO.

In reality, I have gotten to pursue my love as a major portion of my career.  Databases are what I play with at home.  That, and Minecraft. 🙂

I have recently started using Alteryx.  I am hoping to learn the toolset and become proficient.  I look forward to meeting many of you.current face.jpg

Hi @regoklienad

Thanks for introducing yourself to the Community and welcome to Alteryx family! It's amazing how much expertise you have. I'm sure you could share it with our community. Inspiration and great discussions ahead 🤗!

Since you're discovering Alteryx Designer, I would definitely recommend starting with Getting Started Learning Path in Alteryx Academy, and as you get more comfortable -- making an attempt at doing some of the beginner Weekly challenges.

We have a passionate group of Community members who are always looking to support others, so any question goes.

Thanks @regoklienad for taking the time to introduce yourself, and we look forward to seeing you around the community!

Cheers,

Actually almost all the way through the lessons in the Interactive section.  I look forward to getting to know some of the users in the community.  Seems to be a very active community.
