To create a map in Alteryx you need some spatial points. You can make them using the "create points" tool, which requires the latitude and longitude.
If you only have the postal code, you can extract the latitude and longitude from these postal codes using the "US ZIP9 Coder Tool".

US Zip9 Coder requires the Location Insights data pack, which requires a separate license. Here is some useful info related to the data packages and spatial tools.
