Sending emails without SMTP

Hello guys!


Recently, the company I'm working at prohibited the usage of SMTP due to security reasons. I am trying to find a way to send emails in my workflow without using SMTP. Do you have any solutions or ideas for this? One of the possible ways is to use Gmail API. Has anyone implemented this method and how?
