ODBC Query Window - Initial Table changing Fields

Hi Everyone,

I can certainly working on a SQL ODBC and am having issues with the query tables and fields that are selected prior to finishing the setup of the input tool.  The fields are initially populating correctly as character, numeric, decimal, etc. However, after selecting my fields and closing the "Choose Table or Specify Query" window, all of the fields have changed to either binary, decimal, or string, which is causing Alteryx to recognize most of these fields as BLOBs.  

Does anyone have anyway to correct this issue?

What's the underlying database type?

I am not necessarily sure, but we are connecting to an instance of JD Edwards via iSeries.
