EnergyAustralia | energyaustralia.com |
Old National Bancorp | oldnational.com |
Sydney Water | sydneywater.com.au |
Toll Holdings Limited | tollgroup.com |

How to use Fuzzy matching to match the Company_name and Account_name and append the other lookup columns as below table:
Region | Company_Name | Category | Account_Name | Domain |
APAC | Toll Holdings Inc. | N | Toll Holdings Limited | tollgroup.com |
APAC | BLUESCOPE STEEL LIMITED | N | BLUESCOPE STEEL LIMITED | bluescopesteel.com |
APAC | Visy Industries Australia Pty Ltd | N | Visy | visy.com |
APAC | Sydney Water Corporation | G | Sydney Water | sydneywater.com |

Hi @preethisisaac ,
Yes, Fuzzy Match can be used to do this. It's not an easy tool to use, however. It will take some time to learn how to use it.
Here are some great free resources from Alteryx:

Hi @preethisisaac - I like to do Exact Matching every time when possible. Only if all other options do not work I apply Fuzzy Matching. In any case I've built a solution for you. Hope it will work for you. Please see below:
Hi @preethisisaac - If the workflow worked for you, can you please mark it as a solution to let other community members to benefit from it?
Thanks a lot!!! it worked.
Hi,
Thank you for providing such great solutions to the forum. I have learnt a lot from your answers. I tried to apply this as well, but fuzzy match is a very tricky one I believe. I am completely stuck from last 2 days. Please help me out here.
I have a set of data where column A is 'Business Titles' and column B is its cleansed versions as 'Cleansed Roles'. This Master table has around 48 entries based on historical data I have received.
Now, this column A is a free text column, and the data I receive next month might have new entries in it which will be similar to existing Business Titles but not sure to be exact match.
SO, My master has 48 business titles and 48 cleansed roles populated against it. Now, next month I will receive 4 new business title entries, so my business titles count will be 52, and I will need to populate cleansed roles against it. I want fuzzy match to provide match for these 4 new entries from master so that automatic population of cleansed roles can happen for these 4 entries.
Let me know if I was able to explain the problem.
