Format Excel Output File

NRD

Hi All,

I am trying to send a data set that I have to an already formatted excel file that has the panes 'frozen' and the data types established.

Can someone help me with doing this in the Alteryx designer?

Hi @NRD

If you are trying to output a dataset to an already existing excel file, you can just Output to that file and keep the formatting by checking this box:

If you need to specify the range to where output it to, you will be prompted this question when selecting the output file.

Hi @pedrodrfaria

I tried the 'preserve formatting' but it did not keep the 'panes frozen' on my output file.

Could you give me an example?

Hi @NRD

Edit: I attached a workflow that updates an excel file that has freeze panes enabled.

Pedro.
