For a year, had a customer relying on an Excel file that was generating a Month to Date data. However, torwards the end of each month, the data gradually inched close to the max Rows Excel can have. So the solution was to split the report in two for each month. There is a 1 to 15 and 16 to EOM. The workflow runs, but now before the 16th of the month, I get two files with the first one being the data expect Month to date. The second one is for the 16th to the EOM and it's blank except for the headers. However, the file is identical in size as the first file even though there is nothing there. When I do open the file and select all the rows from 2 to the end of the worksheet and right mouse/Delete - the file saves down to 11KB. These files are huge and normally go from 17MB from Day 2 to 400MB on Day 30 since the data builds over time. Having the second 1/2 of the month file is not an issue, but it makes no sense to generate if we don't need it and if it generates why is it so large even though there is no data?
Any suggestions?
Please provide an example workflow to root cause of the use case.
