Data showing null from Input tool

I have several columns of data that are not being pulled in correctly in Designer. The columns are text for the most part, but it is not consistent text. For example, I have "DNS", "WD:A01", etc. so there's a mix of letters, numbers and punctuation. The Input tool is just not reading it and all the columns are pulling in as Null. I'm using an XLSX Excel file as my input file format.

Can you please provide an input file to review. From what I am understanding you are using an input tool set to xlsx and not all rows are pulling in when you are checking the output of the input tool. Also do you have this checked in your input file tool  "First Row Contains Data"

Attached is a very simplified version as the actual file contains sensitive data. The rows/columns are pulling in but the data is showing as Null straight from the Input tool so I don't have a chance to manipulate it. And yes, it's set to first row contains data.

@cflem123 The above attached input is read properly  by Input tool. 

If you want WD1,DNS as columns, select Start Import on line 2

@nagakavyasri  is correct. I could not get the results you were talking about. When I ran this input all fields showed up as expected. The null field is numeric where the other ones are text, but you can fix that with a select tool right after the input.

Can you share a screenshot like I have, so I can see what you are seeing. When I take your file and drop it into a workflow and run it this is what I am seeing. What I am reading is that all your data is showing null.

I really can't provide a screenshot because the data is sensitive to my organization. But I should clarify - there are a few Nulls but it is mainly empty. I should have a handful of items in each of the columns but instead I have a sprinkling of Nulls and the rest of the cells are Empty.

so you are saying that sometimes the cells comes in empty or sometimes they come in null but that the incoming data file there is no data in those cells and you are expecting to see all the empty cells null or all the empty cells blank? Sorry really confused as to what you are expecting to see.

My input looks something like the attached. The problem is that the data is pulling into the Input Tool as either Null or Empty as shown by the second screenshot.
