Hello,
I'm trying to do something very basic, but somehow cannot find an efficient way to do it.
Here the set up.
I have the following data set:
Transaction Data Set
ID | Location |
Transaction #1 | Centroid1 |
Transaction #2 | Centroid2 |
Transaction #3 | Centroid3 |
so each transaction has a geographical location.
I'm trying to find the closest city and distance to it. I have another data set
Location Data Set
ID | Location |
City #1 | Centroid1 |
City #2 | Centroid2 |
City #3 | Centroid3 |
I have large amount of rows, so I need to "loop" each row of the Transaction Data Set, and compare distance for all rows in Location Data set.
What is the best way to do this?
Best,
V

Hi @vx
Say hello to Alteryx! There's a tool that does exactly what you're looking for.
Find Nearest tool is designed to get the closest point comparing two different datasets.
