Alteryx cannot find .mif file

Has any one experienced the issue below. Alteryx keeps coming up with the error saying it cannot find the specified file. I have trying reading different file types from the same folder and it inputs them with no issue it just seems to be for .mif files. I ran a directory to search for .mif files in the folder they are stored and alteryx can see them when i do that but i still cannot input them? Any advice would be really appreciated

It's not something I've ever tried, do you have a sample file you can share so I can try to replicate the issue?

For those that are here and have the same issue. 

.mid and .mif files are a pigeon pair. You cannot import one without the other 
Your target folder needs to have both a .mid and a .mif  file for the file to be successfully imported in Alteryx..That's as far as I've gotten. Fun times.
