I want to make sure if this is the right path to follow through. A few more links would be popped out for the further introductions. right?

That will certainly get you prepped for the Core cert.  Some other places that might help are in the "Academy" section of the Community.  Lots of great resources there to get you started and familiar with the tools as well.  Weekly challenges are great for that too.  

Personally, I would recommend starting with the Getting Started Learning Path on the Learning Paths page within the Academy (https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Learning-Paths/tkb-p/learning-path).
