can't claim this was all my own inspiration, but certainly picked up some great new tips and practice in spacial and macros thanks to the community

Learnt a couple of great things in this one, and tried to add some simplicity with crosstabs.  Love the logic of the trade area approach, and also the formula to draw the new line rather than using Poly-Build.

spoiler: I saw a hint to create a buffer and then split that into points and to find the ones that matched the direction for start and end and then finding the right ones to create the extension

This was so fun, I took a long time as I was between tasks and multitasking but when I finally sat down and cleaned up my head and my logic, it was a very very interesting problem and I loved coming up with the solution. I am becoming an Alteryx Junkie.
