Another lesson in checking datatypes. Read the optimization tool documentation (I actually found the phd data blog to be rather useful and can be found using google) and set up in a way I expected to work, only to return an error. I tried all sorts renaming fields only to realize I had set the bounds as strings. *facepalm* - everything worked well once I made the change for the bounds to be numeric.
