Role summary: We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join the finance team. The Finance Data Analyst will be responsible for data mining and normalization, model selection, design, and implementation, and data visualization using Tableau and Alteryx. Additionally, the Finance Data Analyst will participate in requirements elicitation and collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements. Responsibilities: As a Finance Data Analyst, your responsibilities may include: Participating in requirements sessions to identify solutions to existing business problems and/or suggest opportunities to implement descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models. Data mining and normalization. Creating data models and integrating data sources to support the development of statistical models, and Tableau reports and dashboards. Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau. Writing complex and performant SQL queries to extract data from various sources and deploy data as needed. Developing Alteryx workflows and optimizing existing workflows. Participating in the development and implementation of best practices and standards for statistical modeling at GTT. In addition to the above responsibilities, you may also need to collaborate with other developers, data architects, and business analysts to ensure data quality and consistency across reporting solutions. You may also be responsible for developing and maintaining documentation related to statistical modeling. Skill set: To be successful as a Data Scientist at GTT, you will need to have the following skillset: Accounting and/or Finance experience is strongly preferred Expertise in designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau. Strong Alteryx knowledge and quality experience required. Knowledge of data visualization best practices and experience creating intuitive, easy to understand, and visually appealing data visualizations. Experience in data modeling and integrating data sources to support the development of models, reports, and dashboards. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and data architects.
