Joins and other options

I have 2 Excel worksheets that I would like to join.  The first file has 4872 rows and the second has 158 rows.  On the first file, I need to add the data from the second file on the matched rows, but also need to keep the all rows on the first file that don't have a match.

Every time I try to join the file, I end up with only 158 rows after the join.  Is there another way to combine that data?  Outside of Alteryz, we are using a vlookup, but I would like to have it all in the workflow.

@LindaAssurant the join tool has 3 output anchors. Feed the J output anchor from your join tool along with the L or R output anchor into the union tool to retain records from the L or R input. Let me know if you have any questions. Please mark the thread solved if this resolved your issue.
