How to open Alteryx files

Hi, 

I've been working through the Getting Started Learning Path. It's been great so far. But I can't see how to open the files for the practice exercises. Please can someone help as I am stuck. Hopefully I'm missing something really obvious and can get back on track soon. I have the yxzp file downloaded and Alteryx One Cloud demo open.

I have tried using the Data Input tool but am told the file format is not supported

Update: I have re-named the yxzp with a .zip extension and can see the files inside. But how do I open these in the cloud?

When you say, Alteryx One Cloud you mean Design Cloud?
Design Cloud can not open yxmd or yxdb files, only Designer Desktop can open them.

Thanks Qiu for helping me out. So Cloud and Desktop are different versions of Alteryx Designer and only the Desktop version will open yxmd and yxdb files? That's strange, but it does explain my problem.

Hi @Chaba,

If you are trying to upload a JSON workflow file, you need to go to the library tab > select all assets, then upload. 

To input a flat file like a CSV, you just use the regular input data tool and select 'upload data' from the config window. This article explains the process
