More Help on this assignment.

Hi, guys. I'm the budget allocation guy on last Wednesday if you remember. I need more help on the workflow. Now, I'm able to allocate the budget thanks to the fraction method given by Mr. Gawa. But currently, I want my workflow to be able to allocate in more specific numbers aside fractioning. So, I would like to ask how can I modify the workflow to achieve this result?

The current result is like this

I want it to be like

@Eakdanai

This problem need to solve indeterminate equation> One way is to use Optimization tool.

As this is your assignment, I cannot share my solution directly but I can advise:

- Dividing values by 50,000(if round value to $50,000 wise), and simplify the value

- Define the variables and its constraints and range of its value

(target value seems within $50,000-$250,000, that is equal to 1-5 in range configuration).

If you are not familiar with Optimization tool, please start to study about it. I think you can find good resource in Alteryx Community or simply Google search.

A part of configuration of Optimization tool for your reference.

Thanks for your useful guidance yet again. Even though I already figured it out myself. I will try to see if I can apply ur suggestion to my workflow.

@Eakdanai

If allowed, can you tell me how did you realize it? I could not come up with idea other than using Optimization tool.

Well, I simply combine product and marketing channel into one table, and assign each cells with the weight scoring from WDM model. Then use formula to multiply each score by 10000 to get the actual budget. Before I calculate the sum into Total Record/Column.

As I'm not familiar with WDM model, I'll look into it more. Thanks.
