Hi ,

Currently i plan to import all the file from the desktop as shown in the screenshot below. There are sub- folder files and sub-sub folder files under this files.

May i know how can i import the files with different sub-folder?

Hi @

Do you have the macro which can read different excel format (ie: xlsb, xlsx and csv) and coming from different subfolder to import into Alteryx?

Thank you

@SH_94

I answered your other post. To change the macro to open a different type of file, open it and change the file being used to a template version.

If you want to open XLSB, create a copy of that macro using a XLSB for example.

Hi @SH_94,

I see that you wanted to ask me for help but if you don't use @ I will probably miss it...

I have a question for you. Did you move this macro?

Let me explain why I am asking that. I just downloaded it and I see that it have a couple of different components. In order to check them, you need to go to workflow dependencies>

Those are the components:

Please download the macro once more and open it from the location that you downloaded it and check if this works.

Hi @Emil_Kos ,

I just downloaded the macro and i didn't move any macro. I just opened it and update the file path that i want the data to be uploaded.

I actually try to upload the file xlsb here for your reference but it does not allow.

Do you know if there is any other cause the macro can't read the result?

Is it because of the file format? because i am importing all the file format with xlsb

Hi @SH_94,

It should work for xlsb files:

Can you check if it would for example for referring to desktop? Maybe you have a problem with the path that you are using?

I am just thinking I don't have a clue why it doesn't work for you...

Hi @Emil_Kos ,

I already move the file to desktop and ask the alteryx to open the file from desktop but it still appear the error as below.

May i know if there is any specific step that i need to do before using the macro? As i just download it and open the macro. Do i need to do anything or any step i need to take note ?

Hi @SH_94,

No, it should work from the beginning.

Can you show the workflow dependencies part? I mentioned that in one of the previous posts:

Based on the error I am assuming it doesn't see all the components of macro.

Hi @SH_94,

You get this while running it?

I see that someone solved a problem like yours:

Not sure what he has on mind but I hope this helps at least a little bit. Maybe you need to restart your pc and keep excel closed?

Me personally I don't have a clue what is the reason behind your issue....
