How to read a password protected file without using R tool

Hi I need to read an excel file which is password protected.

Tried using R-tool. But given to understand it doesn't work in the server environment. So the end user will not be able to Run it.

Also the coding part of it is confusing.

So want to know - Is there a workaround to navigate the password issue without using R-tool? If Yes, pls guide. Thanks.
