Generate Rows Tool

Hi,

I am looking to use the Generate Rows Tool to create duplicates of my data from Sheet 1.

I've attached an .xlsx that will perhaps best explain what I am looking to achieve. On sheet 1 is the raw data, and Sheet 2 is what I would like the output to look like. Sheet 3 explains what I am looking to do with the new column.

If the number is equal to 2, I want the original copy plus 2 duplicates. 3 rows total.

If the number is equal to 3, I want the original copy plus 3 duplicates. 4 rows total.

I want the new output field to exist as well as 1, 2, 3.. and so on as I would like to eventually use this to create a new id_field demonstrated in Sheet 3. Any help would be much appreciated whether this is possible. I'm not very familiar with the Generate Rows Tool.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I unfortunately can't open your workflow because I have an older version of Alteryx and can't update until my organisation pushes updates.

Are you able to share your solution by other means?

Hi @mike17 this post shows how to resolve that issue. However attached an amended version that I edited to work for version 2018.1 on wards
