Converting Date / Time field

I have a Date Time field that has the format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS

I'd like to change the format to: MM/DD//YYYY but I'm not sure if the best approach is to use a tool or a formula. 

Any assistance would be appreciated.

We can also use the DateTimeFormat function in Formula tool.
