Alteryx For Good Volunteer Week

Leads us to new relationships and local initiatives

As we celebrate the spirit of National Volunteer Week with our Alteryx for Good community this April, we want to take a moment and reflect on the wonderful activities our associates and customers participated in last year and recognize the difference you’re making.

The mix of volunteering at donation centers, food banks or child centers produced more than 1,200 hours of volunteering services from our associates, almost a 50% increase from 2016! We have national and global support from our User Group Community reaching out to nonprofits and educators, spreading the word about our AFG program connecting local challenges to analytic resources. Your passion and partnership helped us provide over 2,000 licenses last year for analytic classroom efforts and initiating 100 nonprofits to start solving through analytics.

AFG BLOG.pngDeanna Sanchez (@Deanna), our Dallas User Group Leader and Alteryx for Good Champion 2017 introduced Alteryx to The Commit! organization. The Commit! focuses on driving student achievement “from cradle to career”, helping students stay in school and graduate.

The Dallas User Group has been assisting Commit with Alteryx implementations, workflows and apps. They were able to brainstorm workflows and apps that have become essential to the Commit’s process.

One of many accomplishments was transforming one of their laborious Excel pivot table processes into an Alteryx workflow that ran in 2 minutes!

The variety of interests are leading us to new relationships and exposing us to local initiatives that need continuous support and partnerships, enabling us to grow and evolve. We look forward to 2018 and what our AFG community can do during National Volunteer Week and beyond. We invite you to join our continuous efforts and find what you’re interested in. Grab a friend, coworker or your family for National Volunteer Week April 15-21st as we celebrate another year giving back during our national effort.

Need inspiration on types of nonprofits that might spark your interest? We've included some great examples of where our User Group teams volunteered in 2017, as well as what’s happening in April below. Visit www.volunteermatch.org to find local options you care about, create your own or join a User Group!
