After realizing that the original ranks needed to be recalculated as to not account rankings for participants without a time and giving Tara her new value that was one minute faster than her friend for the Interval component it wasn't too bad of a problem. After taking all new rankings into consideration Tara would be in 11th place!

The question didn't state the rule for missing event, so I improvised. Tara is 11th nevertheless.

Years late of course but it looks to me like the solution has some issues.

Picture from the solution workflow (Multi-Row Formula (47)).  It looks like rounding might be impacting the rankings moving some other people around.  I had better luck with sorting directly off the number.

Definitely a fun challenge.
